Chris

I just want to tell you how wonderful it was to meet you and crystal at the trail ride last weekend. Your discussion on bits and saddle fit was very enlightening. But what really told the story was to feel how much my horses gait improved with the 4-beat saddle (on my Christmas list). I had no idea my old western saddle was pinching him behind the shoulders. I was also amazed how much better I felt after a 3hr ride. No tension in my back or soreness in my knees.

Thanks again for being there for us.

It was great meeting Chris and Crystal at East Fork!  Chris spent time fitting Shelby for her new saddle and bit.  They are now on order and I can't wait for them to arrive.  I really appreciate their expertise and patience teaching an inexperienced rider.  Crystal's lesson was very valuable.  I really learned a lot!  Thank you again! Jean

Chris & Crystal,

My wife and I were impressed with your both your
professionalism and knowledge of gaited horses. Our
experience left us with the knowledge and confidence
that we can ride and train our horses. Your guidance
with the proper choice of tack has made a great
difference with the behavior of our horses. My wife
used her knowledge the next weekend on a trail ride.
She truly enjoyed herself.

Once again we thank you for your guidance and
instructions.

Riding better,
Larry & Mary Evans.
Hi Crystal,
I wanted to share this photo of Scout & me at Lake
George CO on our recent camp trip.
He was wonderful. We are having such a good time. Everyone
is giving us tons of compliments on him.
He is such a good boy. The video you sent me before
he shipped has helped soooo much. He sets up
for mounting and I try to work with
him just as you did. He gets lots of attention.
Thanks for selling him to me.

I would be glad for you to use this
on your website. You have been very honest with me and
very helpful to make certain that I had as much information as possible
since I was buying without being able
to come ride him myself. Hope all is going well with you.

GenAnn & Scout

Chris and Crystal,

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it has been to deal with y'all.  Rickie and I really appreciate your honesty and character when it comes to selling a horse, and making sure the horse matches the rider.  Cooper and Ed have literally been "dream horses" for us!  We couldn't be any happier with them.   I really appreciate the time that Crystal spent with me, learning Cooper's ways...and also telling me what to do in case certain situations were to come up.  I am so proud that I have been able to ride Cooper with 100% confidence, despite his young age. He is such a sweetie, and I brag to everyone who sees him at how well he was started and trained by Cyrstal!

Ed has fit into our family just as if he's always been here.  And even better, he and Rickie have "clicked", and Rickie enjoys riding like never before! He is so levelheaded...that we have even been letting our 16 month old, Eliza ride with Daddy in the back yard.   I've always wanted to have a horse like that....THANK YOU for making that a reality!!

Also...a BIG thank you for answering all our many questions...before and after we brought our "babies" home.  We have learned so much from y'all from all the visits and phone calls.  I do hope that we can get together again and ride this summer!!

We appreciate all y'all did to make this a wonderful and successful experience!

Dear Chris & Crystal

I wanted to say thank you so much Crystal for all the long hours you spent teaching me & my Rocky Mountain baby Nechee how to gait in 2008.  Since I am a total believer in natural horsemanship, I can only say that your methods in teaching lived up to all of my expectations and beyond.  It was the most awesome training experience I have ever encountered, not to mention the spectacular trail rides with you and Chris afterwards.  I also want to thank you for allowing me to ride in the Imus 4 Beat Saddle and Comfort Bit for those three days, just so you know how impressed I was, I now own my own Imus 4 Beat Saddle and Comfort Bit and both Nechee & I love them, Nechee moves as free as if we were riding bareback.  One more thing I have to mention, your hospitality went way beyond anything I could have imagined, thank you so much for your friendship and I look forward to when we can meet again and there will be again!!!

See you soon, Sharon Mueller & Nechee, Silverhill, AL

Dear Crystal and Chris:  First of all,I just want to thank you both for making me feel like family when I came down to see and purchase Apache.  You answered all my questions and were very honest about his behavior, etc.  It is so 'rare' these days to find honest folks who truly want their horse to be with the right person.  I consider you 'friends' and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a trail horse.

Apache is sooo sweat, it's hard to believe he is only 3 years old.  He is such a trusting soul.  I just love him and know he will take me on many pleasurable rides into my "Golden" years.  Not only is he a "old soul", he's nice to look at too.....I get many compliments on his looks as well as his manners.  I tell him Chris and Crystal trained him and did a fantastic job!!!! You two are wonderful trainers and really bring the best out in your horses..

The last 3 weekends, I've taken Apache on out of town trailrides and not once has he done anything to scare or hurt me....I only hope as I tell my friends and acquaintances about you, they will listen and purchase a horse from you two because I know they will not be disappointed.

I hope to meet up with you and Chris sometime on the trails.  Thanks again for selling me such a Great, young horse.   You two are the best!!!!!!

Kudos to Chris and Chrystal.

I should start a journal for Playboy, but it would be pretty boring. So far, he has been with us for a week and all he has done is stand and eat...wow, every horse's "heaven".

But a big storm is brewing, the wind is blowing hot and hard and a piece of black plastic got blown over into the pasture from the new house construction site next door!

So I decided to go out and pick it up, but guess who just followed me around the pasture, even followed the EVIL plastic bag??? Playboy showed no fear. He followed me and the evil black plastic around the pasture and stood still when I flapped it all over his body and stood back and let the wind blow it into him.

Lexy wasn't so sure until she saw Playboy being so brave. Then she was following me and the evil bag as well...and pinning her ears at Playboy like she was running him off from her new treat.

Horses are so GOOFY!

Have I told you guys that we LOVE this horse?!?

Okay, I am off the next four days so lets RIDE!!!

I'd been working with Gal on slowing down going down these slick Mississippi hills and having some luck, but not enough.  Crystal said to let Chris work with her and see what he could do, so last week, I took her down there.  First thing Chris did was the one thing I'd been putting off...he put her in the Imus bit.  I was hesitant because all she'd had was a snaffle or a wonder bit and I didn't know how she'd react to the totally different bit.  He rode her in the arena, got her past the fussy business, and then we headed out on the trail.  We found a good hill and he worked her up and down it some, got her stopping anytime he asked, and then put me on her.  It was like a major breakthrough.  She doesn't even bother fussing much about this bit, she slows or stops when asked, and seems to just plain "get it" better.   I felt bad because I should have been able to do this myself weeks ago, but I was just anxious about trying something so different with her.  Chris and Crystal have been so supportive over the last 2 years with me and my nerves, and now are such a great resource for working with Gal.  What great friends!!

NOTE FROM BRENDA IMUS: Chris and Crystal have been with me now for nearly three years. They are highly accomplished horse trainers, and totally dedicated to helping riders work out issues with their horses. As Level II Trainers, they are available to conduct clinics - and love to travel!
